Shapeshifter - Essential NZ Sculpture 2014

 

After many hours of threading miles and miles of copper wire onto these orange floats, my Shapeshifter entry is complete!
"Tangelo Copper Wire Buoy - Wall Necklace" has been selected for this event down in Lower Hutt and I feel very excited and privileged to be part of something with "Essential NZ Sculpture" in the title!

The next event I am in is the Kings College Art Sale November 8th - 10th 2013
I have a large outdoor work and several indoor pieces.

On Friday the 15th November I am joining a bunch of ladies for a big group sale at my friend Justine Hawksworth's house in Mt Eden.  We did it last year at her lovely home and had such great feedback we are doing it again with more artists.  I will be posting a flyer with more details soon.

But you still have to come to my Studio Sale on Sunday the 24th November to see my full selection of work!  It will be the usual big day, with functional glassware, sculpture, old stock and seconds.

The other exciting news is that I have a Wall Necklace accepted to show at the Shapeshifter event down in Lower Hutt, February 2014.

This image is Green / Blue / Flax Wall Necklace that has been selected for the Snapshot exhibition down in Wanganui.  It is part of a show celebrating glass form all over NZ at the Quay Gallery and is on until January 31st 2014!

Just thought I would put these couple of pics showing the gift boxes I mentioned yesterday.......

We are now already half way through the year and its cold, wet and wintery!

My exciting news is that my sculpture proposal has been accepted into the 2014 Harbour view Sculpture Trail.  This is a local event set on the TeAtatu Peninsula and is a fundraiser for Hospice.  So watch this space for my "Navigation Post"  to emerge.........

Anyone need a small gift?  I have lots of $25 gift boxes made up with small glass plate sets, small hanging stars and small canoe platters in them. It is a handy sized box for travelling or just handing over with my artist card blurb inside, packed with tissue and wood wool to keep items secure.  Come and check them out in my studio, by the warm kilns.
